Es ist schon die Frage, ob Samarpan bewusst gelogen hat. Für mich gibt es da 2 Möglichkeiten.
Es gibt Menschen, die es sehr genießen, von anderen als Guru, als Wissender bewundert zu werden. Der Reiz, Popstar zu sein. Und es gibt diejenigen, die einen gewissen Erfolg bei ihren Bemühungen hatten und tatsächlich glauben, erleuchtet zu sein. Später stellen sie dann fest, dass sie sich geirrt haben.
Du glaubst nicht, dass Bemühungen erforderlich sind? Doch, das glaube ich. Allerdings sollten Bemühungen nicht darauf gerichtet sein, Erleuchtung oder was auch immer zu erlangen sondern die Hindernisse zu beseitigen, die den natürlichen Zustand des Geistes verschleiern. In erster Linie sind das die Vorstellungen, die wir von uns selbst haben und die wir an die Stelle dessen gesetzt haben, was wir wirklich sind. Glaube und Überzeugung sind wie der Wille, dass es so sein soll, wie ich es glaube.
"Es ist unmöglich, etwas nicht zu glauben, was man sieht. Aber es ist ebenso unmöglich, etwas zu sehen, was man nicht glaubt" lautet ein Zitat aus dem Kurs.
Die Überzeugung, ein Körper zu sein und zu sterben, macht vollkommen blind dafür, was man wirklich ist.
"Bemühung" in diesem Fall ist z.B., diese Überzeugung aufzugeben, indem man sich sagt "Ich weiß nicht, was ich wirklich bin. Ebenso gut könnte ich auch reiner Geist sein." Das ist eine Einladung an die Wahrheit, einzutreten. Aber kein Streben nach Wahrheit im Sinne einer aktiven Bewegung auf die Wahrheit hin. Es ist nur Offenheit.
